Student Associations

Students are encouraged to get involved with student associations and groups during their studies. Student groups help plan conferences, arrange tours of local libraries and organizations, and provide a sense of camaraderie for students.

The student chapter of the ACA holds an annual symposium in February.

UBC iSchool’s Library and Archival Studies Student Association (LASSA) is the official student association at the School of Information – every student is automatically a member.

There are several local student chapters of professional organizations including:
