I use art, design, and technology to work on problems affecting society. Research interests include poverty and social mobility, climate change resilience and adaptation, systemic failures and democratic agency, multiculturalism and internationalism, the mediation of dissonant historical narratives, and the challenges of post-digital literacy and offline reading. My projects use the material techniques of public art, design fiction, data visualization, augmented reality, and industrial design to create social environments for new thought.
