I am privileged to have enjoyed a successful career in libraries, as a practicing librarian and manager, as a leader in professional organizations, and as a teacher. I was with the Vancouver Public Library, 1979 to my retirement in 2017. I have over 10 years governance experience as a board member of the British Columbia Library Association, including representing the organization as President from 2020 to 2021, plus teaching at the UBC School of information from 2005 to the present. My interests and experience are collection development, intellectual freedom, management, and human resources.
