Recent PhD alumna Sarah Gilbert studied the Ask Historians Reddit community and has now published the first of three posts summarizing her findings for the community. This project started as part of her research for her dissertation in which she explored why people participate in online communities.
The post received thousands of upvotes, including silver, gold and platinum awards (which is a big accomplishment in the Reddit world). She has done a great job of communicating her research in a meaningful way, and offering that back to her study participants.
