At the recent BC Library Conference in May, three UBC iSchool alums received awards for their service in the library community.
- Tim Atkinson (MLS ’91) received the BCLA Eureka Award, for his lasting legacy in libraries. Tim retired in 2016 but has continued to be involved in the profession.
- Susan Pierce (MLIS ’11) received the BCLA Building Better Communities Award for her work at Vancouver Island Regional Library where she develops programming for all ages.
- Tess Prendergast (MLIS ’96) received the Young Adult and Children’s Service Award for her work in children’s literature and literacy. Tess is also an adjunct faculty member.
