Are you a soon-to-be graduate hoping to launch your academic library career at a top research university known for its competitive edge, innovative spirit, and commitment to diversity? The NC State University Libraries is currently accepting applications for its 2024-2027 Libraries Fellows. The NC State University Libraries Fellows Program offers new librarians a unique three-year faculty appointment, during which Fellows develop expertise in a functional area of academic librarianship while contributing meaningfully to an innovative initiative of strategic importance. In addition to a competitive annual salary of $68,000, the Libraries provides Fellows a generous professional development stipend of $4,000 per year. Eligible candidates in this recruitment cycle will be those with ALA-accredited M.L.S. or M.I.S. degrees awarded between December 2023 and September 2024.

On Friday, November 17 from 1:00-2:00pm in the iSchool Terrace Lab, please join us in welcoming NC State University Libraries’ Learning Innovation Librarian (and former Fellow) Adam Rogers. Adam will be visiting the UBC iSchool to provide a presentation and Q&A about the Fellows Program. He will provide information about the Fellows application process, the Fellows experience, NC State University Libraries, and life in North Carolina’s Research Triangle. We look forward to seeing you there!

Adam Rogers is the Learning Innovation Librarian at North Carolina State University Libraries, where he led the creation of theMakerspace program, opening and managing two different Makerspaces in 2013 and 2015. More recently, he has provided vision and direction for the Innovation Studio, an interactive exhibition space for student work, where he collaborates deeply with students and faculty.Adam holds a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
