This presentation will give insight into working in special libraries and non-profits, being a solo librarian, and transitioning out of library work.
Helen Halbert (she/her) graduated from UBC School of Information with a Master of Library and Information Studies in 2014. She currently works as a Program Director, Capacity & Access at the Law Foundation of British Columbia, where she manages a portfolio of programs and funding streams intended to support grantees’ capacity-building and organizational development.
Previously, she worked as a special librarian in two non-profit organizations, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies.
