About
Professor Hopkins worked in a wide variety of library settings: School Libraries (Burnaby School District), University Libraries (UBC), Special Libraries (Petro-Canada), Public Libraries (Calgary Public Library), College Libraries (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology), and Freelance Librarianship (Canadian Legal Information Council). He taught at the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies at UBC for 22 years in the areas of reference services, reader’s advisory services, library instructional services, research studies, and management of libraries. Upon retirement he used his library skills to establish himself as a used/antiquarian bookseller.
