Dr. Curry is a Professor Emerita at the iSchool where she served from 1990 to 2008 in various administrative capacities including Chair of the MLIS program. From 2008 to 2014, she assumed roles at the University of Alberta, including Director of the School of Library and Information Science and Professor within the MA in Communications and Technology Program. She also served as Visiting Professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax and Curtin University in Perth. Prior to her UBC career, Dr. Curry had careers as an oil company librarian, chair of the library technician program at McEwan University in Edmonton, and senior manager in Alberta public libraries.
