About

I am an enthusiastic educator with a great passion for teaching and research. I hold a PhD in Library, Information and Communication Sciences from Claude Bernard University-Lyon 1 in France, where I examined different type of knowledge organization systems, through both theoretical and empirical study, to reveal the epistemological, cultural and linguistic factors or approaches that can play a fundamental role in the organization of knowledge.

My combined knowledge and professional experience have been gained over 20 years through the support of many levels of teaching and research work across many, local, and international academic and public institutions. As a woman of color, I am keen to support a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom and to adopt a variety of techniques and trends that motivate students and engage them in a life-long continuous learning.

Public libraries and Community-Led approach currently form one of my major research focus areas. I am also interested in leadership and library management from BIPOC and gender lens.
