About
My background is primarily in academic libraries, where I have taught information literacy skills and concepts to postsecondary students and worked collaboratively to integrate information literacy into the institution’s curriculum. In the role of liaison librarian, I have undertaken collection development and library instruction in various subject areas. I spent 15 years at an academic institution in the United Arab Emirates and enjoyed the opportunity to teach and provide library service there. I have also worked in public libraries, providing readers’ advisory, reference service, and technology assistance. Currently, I am the chair of the Library and Information Technology Program at Langara College, where I teach full time.
