Dr. Rasmussen is a Professor Emeritus in the iSchool, where she also served as Director from 2003 to 2010. Prior to joining UBC she was a Professor at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. She has also served on the faculty at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kuala Lumpur; and Dalhousie University, Halifax; and as a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore, Victoria University of Wellington, University of Melbourne, and Waikato University, Hamilton, NZ.
