Tired of being curled up at your desk with your computer? Want to make a tangible impact on environmental pollution while spending the afternoon at the beach?
If you answered “yes” to either question, we need you! Come join the UBC School of Information’s Great Canadian Beach & Park Cleanup from May-August for four fun-filled afternoons of friendly competition while saving the environment.
There will be one cleanup every month from May to August, and you can choose to participate in whichever dates you want. Every piece of trash we pick up helps to clean up our communities, and there will be prizes for those who collect the most pieces over all the sessions!
We’d like to thank UBC Workplace Sustainability and the UBC School of Information for making it possible to provide funds for cleanup equipment and prizes.
