Online (via Zoom)
Registration is required. Please complete the form below.

Join Emily Carlisle-Johnston and Stefanie Torres, from the CAPAL National Student Committee, to learn why and how you might re-start a CAPAL Student Chapter at UBC. They will provide an overview of CAPAL before discussing the benefits of a CAPAL Student Chapter, how you can get one re-started, and the support available to you from the National Student Committee.

The Canadian Association of Professional and Academic Librarians (CAPAL) is a national membership association representing the interests of professional academic librarians in relation to the areas of education, standards, professional practice, ethics, and core principles. Several schools across Canada with professional library schools also have local CAPAL student chapters. These chapters discuss issues related to academic librarianship and connect students to professional academic librarians in various roles.
