Greetings, Students!
As part of the Medical Library Association (MLA) Scholarship Jury, I am contacting you today about our upcoming meeting in Toronto, Canada, taking place May 13-18, 2016. This meeting is extra special, since MLA is partnering with the Canadian Health Library Association. Posters, Papers and Lightening talks will be focus on the theme, “Mosaic: Be part of the Big Picture!” I hope you will consider applying for an MLA student scholarship to attend this meeting.
Why should you consider applying? Simple – this meeting provides an opportunity to experience what being a Health Sciences Librarian, Information Professional, or Information Specialist could entail. It is a great chance to network with current members at all levels. With the increasing use of the Electronic Health Record, the field of Health Sciences Librarianship is changing, expanding, and challenging current and experienced professionals in new and exciting ways.
To learn more about the upcoming Annual Meeting, feel free to go here. More information about the scholarship and the requirements for complete applications are available here. The deadline for the scholarship is December 1, 2015!
We hope you consider applying and it would be great to see you in Toronto, Canada, next May.
Cordially,
Andrea Goldstein Shipper
MLA Scholarship Jury Committee Member
