Hosted by Program Chair, Rick Gooding, and Educational Services Coordinator Kevin Day, this webinar will provide an overview of the MACL program, requirements, course options, admission process, and career pathways beyond graduation. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions during a Q&A session.

About the MACL program
UBC offers the only multidisciplinary Master of Arts in Children’s Literature in the world – and the only Master’s program in children’s literature in Canada. Our program is offered jointly by the School of Information (UBC iSchool), the Department of English Language and Literatures, the School of Creative Writing, and the Department of Language and Literacy Education, with administrative support housed at the UBC iSchool.
The MACL program’s multidisciplinary approach to the study of children’s and young adult literature and media familiarizes students with a broad range of children’s literature and a variety of critical perspectives and professional applications. Our program has produced multiple award-winning authors, scholars, and publishing industry professionals. We also host the Vancouver International Summer School in Children’s Literature and an annual graduate student conference in children’s and young adult literature.
