iSchool professor Luciana Duranti has been named co-chair of the Steering Committee on Canada’s Archives (SCCA). Duranti is currently president of the Association of Canadian Archivists, and will serve as co-chair of the SCCA from 2018-2020 with Cédric Champagne, vice president of the Association des archivistes du Québec (AAQ).

The Steering Committee on Canada’s Archives is a joint collaboration between several national and provincial archival associations, including the Association of Canadian Archivists, the Association des archivistes du Québec, the Canadian Council of Archives, the Council of Provincial and Territorial Archivists and Library and Archives Canada. The Steering Committee was formed in February 2016 and serves as a hub where Canadian records management and archives professionals and institutions can discuss their work and initiate, support and promote initiatives having an impact on the profession.
iSchool alumni Suher Zaher-Mazawi (dual MAS and MLIS) and Lara Wilson (MAS) also serve on the committee.
