iSchool participates in ASIS&T conference

UBC iSchool has a large presence at the upcoming ASIS&T conference in Vancouver. ASIS&T is the international Association for Information Science and Technology professionals.

Six faculty, including Muhammad Abdul-Mageed, Julia Bullard, Jennifer Douglas, Vicki Lemieux, Eric Meyers and Heather O’Brien, are participating as workshop presenters, panelists and paper presenters. Director Luanne Freund is presenting as well as serving as conference Chair. Several PhD students, including Alamir Novin, Saguna Shankar, Blake Hawkins and Darra Hoffman, as well as several masters students are partipcating with panels and papers. iSchool alums Devon Greyson and Caroline Mniszak are also participating. The iSchool will have a table and has sponsored the doctoral student colloquium on Sunday, November 11.

The iSchool also sponsored the registrations for more than twenty iSchool masters and doctoral students to attend the conference, happening November 11 to 14 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver.
