The UBC iSchool Peer Advisors invite you to join this virtual career development panel discussion – records, knowledge, and information management. This session will feature a panel of three UBC iSchool alumni working in various organizations such as WHO, WIPO, and Law Society BC. Panellists will be speaking to their positions, the fields they are in, the challenges they are facing, and offering advice for those interested in getting into these fields. The panel presentations will be followed by a student Q&A.

 

Speakers

Michelle Spelay
Michelle Spelay graduated with a dual MAS/MLIS from the UBC iSchool in 2017. She is currently the Senior Analyst, Records and Information Management at the Law Society of BC.

Teresa Lee
Teresa Lee graduated with an MLIS from SLAIS in 2001. She is currently the Knowledge Manager of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the cancer research agency of the World Health Organization (WHO), based in Lyon, France.

Yau Min Chong
Yau Min Chong graduated from the MAS program in 2002. She is currently the Head of the Records and Archives Section at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
