Archival resources remain one of the least utilized sources of information in South Africa. Since 1994, despite the introduction of progressive archive legislation, public archival repositories still have a limited number of users and a collection that is skewed, lacking information from many formerly marginalized communities.

This presentation focuses on initiatives related to archival public programming, advocacy, transformation research, and community projects that aim to change this situation.
