Save the date announcement
For iSchool Community Learning Day, the iSchool will pause much of its daily operations to create space for collective learning among all students, faculty, and staff. The Equity and Diversity Committee will facilitate a workshop for iSchool instructors and is soliciting proposals for other sessions.
Sessions can range from structured workshops to journal clubs and dialogue events. Sessions should address iSchool commitments to the Scarborough Charter, the Indigenous Strategic Plan, and/or promote a thriving community within the school.
If you are interested in hosting an event as part of the day’s programming, email Julia Bullard (julia.bullard@ubc.ca) with the following information:
- initial ideas or details on topic
- facilitators
- space needs, including technology requirements that the school may need to provide
- intended audience
- approximate time duration for the session
The committee will support scheduling, room bookings, and registration for sessions.
