UBC School of Information is consistently ranked as one of the world’s top schools for graduate education in library and information management. Our multi-disciplinary school holds one-of-a-kind graduate programs, an undergraduate minor and courses for the UBC’s Bachelor of Media Studies.

Our research-intensive study environment gives our students access to international partnerships and competitive funding. In addition, our students have ready access to their professors and a large variety of work-based learning opportunities at local, national and international organizations.

We are one of a few schools in North America offering a stand-alone archival program. Our Master of Library and Information Studies is ALA-accredited, and our alumni work at organizations across the globe.

Located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people, we are a community of faculty members, practitioners, students, research and support staff, all working together to advance the study and practice of information.
