2020/21 UBC iSchool MAS Co-op Student of the Year: Dual MAS/LIS student, Maaike Bos
In her role with the Stewardship Unit of the Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS), Maaike led the development of an Indigenous Relations Database that captured a wide range of information, such as the distribution of Canadian Wildlife Service funding, levels of engagement, and occurrence of species at risk and their critical habitat.

In her role with Halifax Public Libraries, Tiffany accomplished many things, including coordinating and leading children’s programs to build literacy and friendship, promoting the summer reading club to 30 classes, and assisting patrons with digital services.

2020/21 UBC iSchool MLIS Co-op Student of the Year, Honourable Mention: Dual MAS/LIS student Laura Moberg
During her term as a Digital Projects Student Librarian with the UBC Library Digitization Centre, Laura supported the expansion of the BC Historical Newspapers collection, an open-access resource of digitized historical community newspapers. Laura’s work involved researching and evaluating newspaper titles that can be included in this collection, which culminated in drafting a project proposal for the next phase of the BC Historical Newspapers project.
