Dr. Logan has held roles at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Aboriginal Healing Foundation and the Legacy of Hope Foundation. She has a Master of Arts in Native Studies from the University of Manitoba, and completed her PhD in History at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her PhD is entitled Indian Residential Schools, Settler Colonialism and Their Narratives in Canadian History.
Dr. Logan is cross-appointed with UBC’s Residential School History and Dialogue Centre (RSHDC) where she acts the Assistant Director of Research and Engagement. Dr. Logan is responsible for developing a broader research agenda for the Centre and developing partnerships with communities, individuals and Survivors.
Dr. Logan’s 25% position begins July 1, where she will be teaching courses on Indigenous issues as they relate to libraries, archives and museums. In the upcoming academic year she will be teaching LIBR 564, Information Practice and Protocol in Support of Indigenous Initiatives.
