We were pleased to host our iSchool Gala & Awards Ceremony on September 29, 2017 in the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre on UBC Vancouver campus.
The event began with our keynote speaker Laura Millar who spoke on “Channeling Joe, Jim & Jean-Luc: Protecting Facts in a Post-Factual World”. Laura Millar graduated with her Master of Archival Studies degree from UBC in 1984 and is the author of The Story Behind the Book: Preserving Authors’ and Publishers’ Archives: Principles and Practices, published by Facet Publishing in 2010.
The celebration continued with our awards ceremony where forty-five students award winners were in attendance to walk the stage and receive their certificates. Our evening ended with a wonderful reception with live music and excellent food provided by Scholars Catering.
Thank you to family, friends, alumni, donors, faculty, and community members who attended the event and contributed to the evening’s success!
