Willard Ireland Prize

The award is given to an outstanding student in Archival Studies in the iSchool. The award is made on the recommendation of the iSchool.

Roy Stokes Medal in Archival Studies (Medal)

This medal honours the second director of UBC iSchool, who initiated the Master of Archival Studies Program. It is offered annually to the graduating student whose record in the MAS program is, in the opinion of the School, most outstanding.

Harold Naugler Memorial Prize

A $1750 prize has been made available through an endowment established by friends and family in memory of Harold Naugler.

Friends of the Richmond Archives Mary Keen Memorial Prize in Archival Studies

A prize has been endowed by Friends of the Richmond Archives to a student in the Master of Archival Studies program, with preference given to a student demonstrating an interest in community records. The award is made on the recommendation of the iSchool.

Brock Family Award

Awards totalling $300 have been endowed by the Brock Family and their friends for students graduating with a Masters in Archival Studies from the iSchool who demonstrate leadership in planning, implementing and promoting the preservation, organization and effective use of society’s record information and ideas.

Archives Association of British Columbia Mary Ann Pylypchuk Memorial Prize

A prize donated by the Archives Association of British Columbia, is awarded to an outstanding student in the graduating class of the Master of Archival Studies. The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the iSchool.

Samuel Rothstein Award

A $1,000 award has been established to honour Dr. Samuel Rothstein (BA 39, MA 40, LLD 04) for a graduate student at the iSchool.

Ronald Jobe Children’s Literature Scholarship

UBC iSchool has established the Ronald Jobe Children’s Literature Scholarship for students in the Master of Arts in Children’s Literature Program.

Terry Eastwood iSchool Award

One award of $1,000 is offered to a student upon completion of the first year Master of Archival Studies Program or Dual MAS/MLIS program in the iSchool who demonstrates scholarly excellence and leadership promise.

James Fraser Memorial Prize

Mr. Fraser was an archivist in New Brunswick and Toronto who died while he was a student in the UBC Master of Archival Studies program. The award is made to a top-ranking student in the first year in the MAS program at the iSchool.
