UBC School of Information and UBC Library have partnered to offer an internship program for Indigenous students!
This two-year internship is open to current and prospective UBC School of Information students in the MLIS and MASLIS programs who self-identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.
As part of the internship, students will be offered a paid part-time position at Xwi7xwa Library, UBC’s Indigenous-focused library branch along with full tuition coverage for one year in full-time program enrolment. Students will get to tailor their internship work duties to their own interests and the library’s needs.
Application deadline is January 15, 2026.
