DESCRIPTION: This presentation focuses on initiatives related to archival p
 ublic programming\, advocacy\, transformation research\, and community proj
 ects in South Africa.

  utilized sources of information in South Africa. Since 1994\, despite the 
 introduction of progressive archive legislation\, public archival repositor
 ies still have a limited number of users and a collection that is skewed\, 
 lacking information from many formerly marginalized communities.</p><p>This
  presentation focuses on initiatives related to archival public programming
 \, advocacy\, transformation research\, and community projects that aim to 
 change this situation.</p><p><strong><span class="searchHighlight"><img cla

 ssor in the Department of Information Science at the University of South Af
 rica in Pretoria\, South Africa. She teaches undergraduate courses in archi
 val sciences and supervises master's and PhD candidates in areas such as in
 formation for development and archives and records management. Her research
  focuses on archival public programming\, advocacy\, and the transformation
  of public archives in South Africa. Additionally\, she serves as Chair of 
 the Expert Group for Research and Outreach Services (EGRSO) at the Internat
 ional Council on Archives\, reflecting her dedication to advancing the fiel
