 k\, Dr. Jiamin (Carrie) Dai will present her research on supporting aging a
 nd accessibility needs in social\, financial\, and digital engagements wher
 e she: 1) diversifies sociotechnical design for the dementia community acro
 ss in-person and virtual settings\, 2) innovates accessible interventions f
 or aging situated in financial technology landscapes\, and 3) advances meth
 odological guidance and tools for inclusive design.</p><p><strong><img clas

 ="searchHighlight">Carrie</span>) Dai</strong> is a Postdoctoral Research F
 ellow at UBC Computer Science and holds a PhD from McGill School of Informa
 tion Studies. Her research innovates inclusive technologies to tackle compl
 ex accessibility challenges\, notably supporting older adults in social\, f
 inancial\, and digital engagements. Her work has been published in top-tier
  ACM human-computer interaction (HCI) venues\, including CHI (flagship HCI 
 conference)\, CSCW (premier conference on computer-supported cooperative wo
 rk and social computing)\, and ASSETS (premier accessible computing confere
 nce). Her postdoctoral work has been awarded two fellowships (NSERC and AGE
 -WELL) and a grant (Healthy Aging Research Program)\, all at the federal le
 vel. She has collaborated with researchers beyond her home departments\, su
 ch as the University of Toronto Computer Science\, McGill Family Medicine\,
  and McGill Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her industry partners incl
 ude Microsoft Research\, Samsung Electronics Canada\, and the Bank of Canad
