DATE

TIME
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Traditionally, records management is concerned with gathering requirements, operationalizing the requirements including developing a robust records retention schedule, and monitoring activities which have an impact on records management. Increasingly, there is an expectation for records professionals to straddle the fields of technology, privacy, and cybersecurity, to align with corporate objectives, to navigate uncertainty, and enable effective governance.

This presentation will offer practical, behind-the-scenes insights into planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring information governance initiatives in local government. It will offer suggestions to students on possible career pathways and opportunities based on their foundational knowledge of records and information management.
