Latinx Students & Library Workers Meet-Up

DATE
Tuesday October 7, 2025
TIME
12:10 PM - 1:50 PM

October is Latin American Heritage Month in Canada. Join other Latinx students and library and archive workers for a panel led by Latinx academic and public librarians.

Students are encouraged to submit questions before hand, but panelists will also accept questions on the day of the event. Let’s chat about life in the iSchool and in Canada, discuss jobs and libraries, and foster community.

We’ll host a potluck to ensure that everyone eats prior to their next class / meeting. Can’t bring food? All good, we all have been students on a budget in Vancouver! Can bring food? Awesome, we are dying to try it!

Questions? E-mail elizabeth.fernandes@ubc.ca.
