Student Info Session – UBC Indigenous Strategic Plan (ISP)

Tuesday, June 22
3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Online (via Zoom)

The School of Information is undertaking a self-assessment process to bring out programs, spaces, and processes into better alignment with the new UBC Strategic Plan and create an environment where Indigenous students, faculty and staff can thrive. We recently began sessions with iSchool faculty and staff to guide this process and seek ways to involve students’ voices and perspectives.

All UBC iSchool students are invited to an information session related to the Indigenous Strategic Plan (ISP) on Tuesday, June 22. This info session will provide more background information on the university-wide self-assessment tools that the UBC iSchool is employing, address student questions, and explore ways to invite participation from students that is safe and inclusive. This meeting will be facilitated by Vicki George, Office of Indigenous Strategic Initiatives, and Alex Ash, Indigenous Strategic Planning Manager First Nations House of Learning.

The session will be hosted by Amy Perreault, Senior Strategist, Indigenous Initiatives at CTLT and UBC iSchool First Nations Curriculum Concentration (FNCC) Coordinator. This is a student-only session.

For more information, please contact Heather O’Brien (h.obrien@ubc.ca), Associate Director, or Amy Perreault (amy.perreault@ubc.ca).

Registration is now closed.
